KEN mode Announce New Album “Null”, Debut “A Love Letter” Video

KEN mode will release their new album “Null” on September 23rd through Artoffact Records. The band recorded the outing with Andrew Schneider (Cave In, Unsane), who also took on the mixing duties. A first single has been launched in the form of the below music video for the track “A Love Letter“.

Frontman Jesse Matthewson commented that the record is “a direct psychological reaction to the collective experience of the last two and a half years… a documentation of trying to not fall apart. The album exposes the emotional core of combating mental illness when one’s fine-tuned coping mechanisms have been involuntarily stripped away.”

You can pre-order the album here. “Null” is the band’s first to feature collaborator Kathryn Kerr as a full-fledged member, lending her talents on saxophone, synth, percussion and backing vocals. The opus also serves as the first of a two-album arc the band have planned, with Matthewson stating:

“The two album arc was written with the intention of being two separate works that could be coupled together to make one full album with a cohesive flow and feeling, with every song holding a specific place and feeling within the overarching theme.”
