The pandemic years have not been kind to San Diego, CA metalcore outfit As I Lay Dying. The band’s drummer Jordan Mancino announced earlier today (June 09th), that he’ll be sitting out the group’s immediate touring plans, citing “internal issues.”
Speaking via social media, he offered:
“To all of our fans, my friends, family and supporters within the industry. There have been a number of ongoing internal issues with As I Lay Dying that need to be worked out. It was my wish to avoid any further touring until these issues were resolved. Since they have not yet been resolved, it is with a heavy heart that I announce I will not be performing on any upcoming tour dates until further notice. Thanks to all of you for your understanding.”
In 2021 guitarist/vocalist Nick Hipa announced his departure from the group, while bassist/vocalist Josh Gilbert left the band earlier this year. As I Lay Dying previously announced that Miss May I bassist/vocalist Ryan Neff will be filling in for Gilbert during the band’s immediate touring plans, while Unearth guitarist Ken Susi will temporarily be taking over the spot vacated by Hipa. Thus far a replacement for Mancino has not been announced.
