Sleeping With Sirens & Senses Fail Score New Platinum/Gold Awards In The United States

Sleeping With Sirens and Senses Fail both received some new certifications from the RIAA this week. First up, Senses Fail‘s single “Can’t Be Saved” from their 2006 sophomore album “Still Searching” was officially certified gold on May 23rd. It marks the second gold record of the band’s career, following their 2004 debut album “Let It Enfold You” going gold back in March of 2020.

For their part, Sleeping With Sirens landed their first-ever platinum award for their 2011 song “If You Can’t Hang“. That single was certified as such on May 24th and previously went gold in July of 2018.

A platinum album/single in the United States represents 1,000,000 units, while gold signifies 500,000 units. Outside of traditional physical/digital sales, the certifications factor in digital streams/downloads with 10 permanent track downloads counting as 1 unit and 1500 on-demand audio/video streams from a particular album also counting as as a unit.
