Alexisonfire Premiere New Single “Sans Soleil”, Announce 20th Anniversary Live Performance Of Their Self-Titled Debut Album

Canadian post-hardcore unit Alexisonfire have premiered a new single titled “Sans Soleil” online. It’s the latest track to emerge from the band’s upcoming first studio album in 13 years, “Otherness“. A June 24th release has been scheduled for that via Dine Alone Records.

The band’s vocalist George Pettit had the following to say about this new offering:

Wade came in with the lyrics for this song around the same time he had been working on the Dooms Children record and I feel like it shows. The Dooms Children album touched on a lot of things extremely personal to Wade and this song is definitely in that vein.”

Guitarist/vocalist Wade MacNeil added:

“This song is about hanging onto hope during the heaviest times. Healing and letting go. Dreaming of a future where all this hurt is behind you.”

In other news, the group have announced that they will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of their 2002 self-titled debut album by performing it in full live in this July. That set will mark the first time the album has been performed in its entirety and is due to take place July 03rd in their hometown of St. Catharines, ON.
