Heavy metal’s own Prince Of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne is aiming to have his thirteenth studio album out this September. News of the album’s release plans comes via his wife Sharon, who had the following to offer during a recent appearance on ‘The Graham Norton Radio Show‘:

“He’s good. He’s really, really good. He’s finished another album which is coming out in September. And there we are. He’s busy in the studio. He still does all his writing and singing, and it keeps him really happy… He’ll never stop singing and writing. We’ve built him a big studio here [at the house in the U.K.], so he can do it all at home. And he can’t wait to come back, to be honest with you.”

Numerous well-established musicians laid down the instrumental parts for the record, including studio performances by Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo and Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan.

Also due to appear on the record are Ozzy‘s ex-Black Sabbath bandmate Tony Iommi & longtime Ozzy collaborator Zakk Wylde. Guitar legends Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck have also been tapped for the record, as has Queens Of The Stone Age‘s Josh Homme and Pearl Jam‘s Mike McCready.
