Texan death metal outfit Creeping Death had an unfortunately eventful weekend. The group’s trailer was stolen from a hotel yesterday morning (May 15th) in Albuquerque, NM. Thankfully, the group had the foresight to stash away AirTags within the trailer, which ultimately helped them track the stolen goods. Thanks to some persistence and local law enforcement, the outfit were ultimately able to recover the trailer and the majority of their gear.
The band’s drummer Lincoln Mullins discussed that on Twitter, offering:
Creeping Death's trailer got stolen out of a hotel parking lot this morning. Yes it was locked up to the van, yes we have AirTags
Showed ABQ Police the exact location of 3 AirTags and they said it's not enough to go inside the building and see…because the business was closed

Small update: they did come see the surveillance (4 hours after the initial call). No plates on the car visible. It was taken at 6:34 AM and we noticed it at 6:39 AM. I legitimately can't believe how close we were

THANKS TO AIRTAGS AND ONE VERY NICE ABQ SHERIFF (SURPRISINGLY) EVERYTHING WAS FOUND EXCEPT FOR MY BORROWED BASS DRUM CASE (SORRY BRAD) AND OUR UHAUL TRAILER. THE NICE SHERIFF BOUGHT A LONGSLEEVE OFF OF US UPON US LEAVING THE CRIME SCENE
