‘Tattoo The Earth‘ will return this year as a destination festival this summer. Originally conceived as a touring festival which ran from 2000 to 2002, the maiden voyage of the trek saw performances from the likes of Metallica, Slipknot, Slayer, Sepultura and many more. This new incarnation of the fest will be hosted outdoors at The Palladium outdoors in Worcester, MA on Saturday, August 27th.
A two-stage lineup is planned with the following artists confirmed thus far:
Anthrax
Black Label Society
Hatebreed
At The Gates
Municipal Waste
Enforced
Further artists will be announced at a latter date. A body art village will also be held as part of the festival, with various tattoo artists set to take part. The festival’s return follows festival founder Scott Alderman‘s recently published book looking back at the trek’s original run, ‘Caravan Of Pain: The True Story of the Tattoo the Earth Tour‘.
