Les Claypool Reveals The Five Albums He Couldn’t Live Without During The Early Days Of Primus

0

Les Claypool, the virtuosic bassist/vocalist who fronts Primus and several other ventures, has revealed the five albums he couldn’t live without. He revealed the list as part of a recurring feature over at Spin, but added a timed caveat to his choices. He explained:

“Because I’ve done some of these lists in the past and being that my brain would explode if I only could pick five, I’ve decided to put down what was likely in the contents of the CD carousel back in the early days when Larry LaLonde and I were rolling around in the old ’76 Dodge conversion van, around Northern California. Likely stoned.”

He’s offered some brief explanations for each of his choices over at Spin should you like to delve further. Here’s what he picked:

  • #1 Pink Floyd – “The Wall
  • #2 Public Enemy – “It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back
  • #3 Tom Waits – “Rain Dogs
  • #4 Red Hot Chili Peppers – “The Uplift Mofo Party Plan
  • #5 Fishbone – “In Your Face
