(hed)p.e. To Release New Version Of “Bartender” Featuring Limp Bizkit’s DJ Lethal & Dropout Kings

Long-running ‘G-punk’ outfit (hed)p.e. have revisited the lead single from their 2000 album “Broke” for a new version. That track, “Bartender“, has been given an updated take courtesy of DJ Lethal of nü-metal superstars Limp Bizkit‘s DJ Lethal and nü-metal revivalists Dropout Kings. Retitled “Bartenders“, this new version of the song will premiere this Friday, April 08th.

Speaking in advance of its arrival, (hed)p.e. vocalist Jared Gomes stated:

“Stoked to announce we have teamed up with our brothers in Dropout Kings and DJ Lethal for a re-loaded version of Bartender dropping this Friday! When someone suggested we remake this (Hed) P.E classic, I initially couldn’t wrap my brain around the idea because this track is so perfect.

Then Staig and Eddie from Dropout Kings brought some new ideas to the table on how we could do a unique new take on the song. They brought that trap metal vibe to it and then DJ Lethal from House of Pain/Limp Bizkit added some scratches to bring this track to life and create a fucking rad version that stands next to the original.”

Below you can watch recently shared footage of the band performing an alternate take on the original song live.
