A donor match has been found for Fuming Mouth vocalist Mark Whelan. Late last year Whelan announced that he had been diagnosed with the blood cancer acute myeloid leukemia. His course of treatment will require a bone marrow transplant and according to a newly shared update from the band, a suitable donor has been found.
A post shared overnight by the group reads:
We have found a donor and are moving towards transplant. It should be within a week. Thank you to everyone who has supported and donated to me. I’m eager to get to the next part of my treatment and beat this thing. – Mark
