Multi-platinum funk rock outfit Red Hot Chili Peppers will be getting their own star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame later this month. Funk legend (and a past Red Hot Chili Peppers producer) George Clinton will be on hand to unveil the band’s star in a ceremony that will be held March 31st at 11:30am PDT at 6212 Hollywood Boulevard.
Ana Martinez, who serves as a producer for the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, commented:
“Our hometown Hollywood boys are finally coming to collect their star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. We have been waiting for them to break away from their busy schedules to dedicate their star, and we are thrilled to welcome them to our Walk Of Fame family.”
The group are currently preparing to release their twelfth studio album, which reunites them with guitarist/vocalist John Frusciante, on April 01st. That Rick Rubin (Slayer, Beastie Boys) produced outing has been titled “Unlimited Love“.
