Bastardane, who feature Castor Hetfield, son of Metallica vocalist/guitarist James Hetfield, among their ranks, released their debut album just under a week ago. That record is titled “Is This Rage?” and finds Castor on drums. In addition to Castor, Bastardane also feature vocalist/bassist Jake Dallas and guitarist Ethan Sirotzki.
The group have two shows lined up at the moment, including an opening spot on the Metallica-headlined May 27th date of this year’s ‘Bottlerock‘ festival and a June 07th show at The Venice West in Venice, CA.
Many of the offspring of Metallica‘s members have followed in the footsteps of their fathers, with drummer Lars Ulrich‘s sons, Myles and Layne, having teamed up in Taipei Houston. Tye Trujillo, son of Metallica bassist/vocalist Robert Trujillo, has already been involved in several bands, including a live stint with Korn. His latest venture is playing bass in Ottto.
