A red band trailer for the Foo Fighters‘ impending horror-comedy film ‘Studio 666‘ has newly gone up online and doesn’t skimp away from displaying the R-rated gore featured within the film. That movie is slated to open in theaters on February 25th and will find the Foo Fighters and co. dealing with the murderous side effects of recording in a haunted studio.
In addition to the film, Foo Fighters vocalist/guitarist Dave Grohl is also working on a new thrash/death metal album under the guise of the movie’s fictional metal band Dream Widow, whose untimely end is integral to the events that transpire in ‘Studio 666‘. A first single from that project can be heard here. The full-length Dream Widow album is expected to coincide with the film’s premiere.
Directed by BJ McDonnell (Slayer‘s ‘Repentless Killogy‘), ‘Studio 666‘ also stars Whitney Cummings, Jeff Garlin, Leslie Grossman, Will Forte, Jenna Ortega, former Slayer guitarist Kerry King and more.
