With their fourteenth studio album “Requiem” set to arrive tomorrow, February 04th, nü-metal kingpins Korn have already begun working on material for its eventual follow-up. Speaking recently with Music Feeds, the band’s vocalist Jonathan Davis revealed that writing sessions for it have already commenced:
“It’s funny, when we get in a room, we start writing and it just comes out and it is what it is. We talk about stuff like who we want to produce. I’m really involved in the production, how we’re going to capture it, what medium. Like, ‘Requiem‘ was done all analogue – it was a mixture of analogue and digital, so it sounds really alive and huge. It doesn’t sound like everything now; all modern rock sounds like shit done in a box and it’s perfect and I don’t like that.

I get excited to write with the guys and a lot of people in bands that have been in bands as long as us, they hate each other – they can’t even be in the same fucking room.”
Ahead of all that, tonight (February 03rd) will see the band livestream their ‘Requiem Mass‘ concert from the Hollywood United Methodist Church in Los Angeles, CA. That show will be broadcast free (see below) at 08:00pm PDT/11:00pm EDT. The group also have the following touring lined up for the immediate future:
