Three dates into their U.S. tour, Danish hard rockabilly band Volbeat have announced that their drummer Jon Larsen has tested positive for COVID-19, necessitating the cancellation of their planned show tonight (January 28th) in Boise, ID. Co-headliners Ghost and openers Twin Temple will still be playing tonight’s show as planned however.
Speaking in a statement issued today, Volbeat revealed that former Slayer drummer Jon Dette has been recruited to fill-in for Larsen until he is cleared to resume touring with the group. Dette will begin sitting behind the kit tomorrow, January 29th, in Portland, OR.
