Ex-Coal Chamber Bassist Rayna Foss Is Not Missing According To Her Daughter: “I Spoke To My Mother As Recently As Yesterday” (Updated)

According to a new report published by fox8live.com, the New Orleans Police Department have now verified Foss has been located.

Kayla Rose, the daughter of ex-Coal Chamber bassist Rayna Foss and Sevendust drummer/vocalist Morgan Rose, has set the record straight regarding the current status of her mother. A missing persons report was first filed to the New Orleans Police Department regarding Foss this past September. That report appeared on WVUE Fox 8 and other outlets. The report itself mentioned that Foss had last been seen on September 07th of 2021 by her group home manager.

No further updates were provided regarding her status past the initial report, with word eventually making its way to the metal scene in late November/early December, when concerned fans began posting about the report on Reddit and other sites. [Full disclosure: Theprp.com was first informed of the report in early December, but opted not to run it at the time due to concerns of her disappearance still being valid some several months removed from report being filed.]

Earlier this week the metal media picked up on the story, leading to Kayla setting the record straight. In a post she shared via her social media today, January 05th, she stated:

“To everyone that has reached out in some way and to the media that has been reporting on this: Let me set the record straight. I’ve seen all of the posts regarding that my mother Rayna has been missing since September. I have no idea where these stories are coming from. I spoke to my mother as recently as yesterday, and we have never lost contact. My grandparents have also been in contact with my mother, and we all know exactly where she is. I have a message in to the New Orleans Police Department advising them of this and am waiting for them to respond.

I’ve also seen other stories about Dez — my mother’s old singer — and a feud with my father Morgan. These are also false. My dad and Dez are friends and have been for a long time.

I’m confused where all of this started from, but it can stop now.

Hopefully there won’t be a next time, but maybe someone can check before running these stories that end up disrupting my entire family in the future.”
