Cannibal Corpse vocalist George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher has announced that his self-titled solo album will be out on February 04th through Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta‘s new label, Perseverance Music Group. The project was co-produced by Jasta and Nick Bellmore (Kingdom Of Sorrow, etc.).
Fisher said of the record:
“When Jamey approached me to do this record, I was fired up to get into the studio with Erik Rutan and record the vocals! It’s a mix of Death Metal, Thrash and Hardcore, and it sounds heavy as hell!!! I’m really excited about it, and I can’t wait for the world to hear it!!!”
Jasta added:
“Working with George has been a dream come true, he’s one of the best dudes in metal and one of the most brutal voices EVER. He’s outdone himself on this album!”
Fisher‘s Cannibal Corpse bandmate Erik Rutan (also of Hate Eternal) will guest on the album track “Acid Vat“. Pre-orders for the record will launch in the coming weeks, while a video teaser has been released ahead of time below. Similar to a past move by Jasta, fans can financially contribute to the album here in exchange for a spot in the thanks list.
