I, The Breather

I, The Breather Sign With Pavement Entertainment, Ready New Album

I, The Breather have found themselves a new label home, having newly announced their signing with Pavement Entertainment. The metalcore outfit returned in late 2020 after previously disbanding in 2015.

The band’s current lineup includes vocalist Shawn Spann and guitarists Logan Young and Nik Popovic. With Pavement Entertainment in their corner, the trio are lining up plans to release their first full-length since 2014’s “Life Reaper” this coming spring.

Spann commented of the band’s return:

“Taking a break from music was one of the toughest choices of my life and I really lost myself during that time. Our music has been therapy for me and to have an opportunity like this to continue is a blessing. This second chapter of I, The Breather is a chance to do what we really want as a band, which we weren’t able to do in our earlier years.”

He also spoke of their new record deal:

“Having a label back us was the last thing I wanted, but after genuine conversations with Tim King from Pavement Entertainment, my hope in working with a team had been restored. I am just very humbled to have this opportunity. Not only am I doing this for myself, I am doing it for those around me who believed in me when I was not my strongest. I want to take this and show people that you can go from the lowest you could ever imagine, to achieving what you dreamed of your whole life. I can’t wait for this next chapter of I, The Breather.”

As previously reported, the band will hit the road in early 2022 in a belated celebration of the 10th anniversary of their 2010 debut album “These Are My Sins” and its 2021 follow-up “Truth And Purpose“. Sleep Waker, Curses and Execution Day will join them at those shows, which include:
