A 20th anniversary edition of Sodom‘s 2001 album “M-16” will be released on December 10th through BMG. The set will be made available in several formats, including a 4xLP vinyl boxset, a 2xLP release and a 1 CD mediabook set. The album has been remastered for this reissue and will come with a host bonus live songs recorded throughout the years.
The more elaborate offerings included with select editions include a USB stick fashioned in the shape of a rifle cartridge, a Sodom military badge, a poster and more.
Vocalist/bassist Tom Angelripper commented:
“The recording is definitely one of Sodom’s classics, not least because of its consistent thematic concept. It was also our last collaboration with producer Harris Johns, finalizing an important era for the band. I’m very happy that ‘M-16’ will now be re-released as a ‘20th Anniversary Edition’ with new versions and lots of attention to detail.”
Pre-orders for the expanded set can be found here. Audio of an included live performance of “Remember The Fallen” which was captured live at the 2001 edition of the ‘Wacken Open Air‘ festival can be heard below:
