Ozzy Osbourne’s Latest Album “Ordinary Man” Certified Gold In The United States

Ozzy Osbourne‘s twelfth solo album “Ordinary Man” has officially been certified gold by the RIAA as of September 09th, 2021. That record was produced by Andrew Watt and Louis Bell and was originally released back in February of 2020.

Several high profile guests appeared on the effort, including Elton John, Post Malone, Slash, Tom Morello and more. “Ordinary Man” also saw Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and Guns N’ Roses bassist/vocalist Duff McKagan appear throughout the record.

Work on a follow-up with Andrew Watt once again behind the boards has since commenced with contributions from Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins expected, as well as a returning Chad Smith.

A platinum album/single in the United States represents 1,000,000 units, while gold signifies 500,000 units. Outside of traditional physical/digital sales, the certifications factor in digital streams/downloads with 10 permanent track downloads counting as 1 unit and 1500 on-demand audio/video streams from a particular album also counting as as a unit.
