Deafheaven & Microwave Added To 2021 ‘Furnace Fest’, Drowningman & mewithoutYou Drop Off Bill

As with most festivals announced for this fall, the lineup for the anticipated return of the ‘Furnace Fest‘ next month continues to remain fluid. Last week saw the festival’s organizers confirm the departure of Open Hand, Misery Signals, ’68 and Light The Torch. It also saw Silent Planet and Microwave join the bill in turn.

This week has seen mewithoutYou drop off the bill due to ‘extenuating circumstances’ as well as Drowningman, who vow to get back out on the road when “the world has healed.” Drowningman for their part issued the below video statement which teases that new music is in the works.

It’s not all bad news however as Deafheaven have newly been added to the Saturday, September 25th ‘Furnace Fest‘ date. The band will be performing a 10th anniversary set at the festival. This year’s ‘Furnace Fest‘ will run from September 24th to 26th at the Sloss Furnaces in Birmingham, AL. You can find more info at
