Metallica Share Alternate Mix Of “Nothing Else Matters” Along With Covers Done By Chris Stapleton & Phoebe Bridgers


This week’s MetallicaBlack Album” 30th anniversary festivities include an alternate mix of “Nothing Else Matters” from July 08th, 1991 as well as Chris Stapleton and Phoebe Bridgers‘ takes on the album version of the track. The aforementioned alternate mix was completed in July of 1991 and features orchestration arranged by Michael Kamen.

It will appear on the “Rough & Alternate Mixes‘ portion of Metallica‘s remastered deluxe box set edition of their 16x multi-platinum self-titled album (aka “The Black Album“,) due out September 10th. Also arriving on that day is a guest-filled tribute to “The Black Album” titled “The Metallica Blacklist“. The below covers by Stapleton and Bridgers will both appear on that.

The Black Album” originally saw a release on this very day, August 12th, back in 1991.
