An Inebriated Aaron Lewis Mistakenly Played Staind’s “It’s Been Awhile” Twice During Recent Dewey Beach Show

Staind frontman/guitarist Aaron Lewis drunkenly performed a cover of Staind‘s hit ‘It’s Been Awhile” twice during a solo live show this past Friday, July 21st at Bottle & Cork in Dewey Beach, DE. Footage of those two performances can be seen below, with Lewis even initially prefacing the song with similar stage banter. It was only after winding down the song for a second time that he realized his error, he offered:

“You know what I’m realizing right this second? That I’m drunk enough that I should be playing ‘Outside‘ right now, and instead I’m playing a fucking song I already played tonight. Which means I might be slightly overserved. So should I play the fucking song that I was supposed to be playing the whole fucking time? Because maybe I might have smoked a little bit too much weed tonight. I might have… I will say that’s a first. That’s a first right there Dewey Beach… I’ll hear about that one tomorrow.”
