John Joseph (Bloodclot, Cro-Mags JM) Calls Out Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl For Playing Shows Exclusively To Vaccinated Fans

Cro-Mags JM frontman John Joseph has criticized Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl for the band’s recent decision to play shows exclusively to fans fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. Last month saw the Foo Fighters reopen the Madison Square Garden in New York City, NY with a 100% capacity show, which as per the venues updated safety policy, required all attendees over the age of 16 to provide proof of a full COVID-19 vaccination. Those who attended under the age of 16 were required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 rapid test prior to entry.

The Foo Fighters were scheduled to play a show at The Forum in Inglewood, CA this month as well with similar admittance restrictions, but were recently forced to postpone due to a COVID-19 diagnosis in their camp.

Joseph meanwhile, in part made headlines when his band Bloodclot took part in a live performance headlined by Madball at Tompkins Square Park in New York City, NY this past April. That show saw thousands attend and violated the then COVID-19 safety protocols and public gathering limitations put in place by state and city officials. You can find footage from it here.

Speaking recently with The Void With Christina, Joseph slammed Grohl for his band’s decision to exclude fans based on their vaccination status:

“I forget what the dude’s name is — he’s in some big fucking band — he’s, like, ‘I’m not playing any vaccinated-only shows. He was in a big English band; I forget what the name of ’em is. [Then] you’ve got motherfuckers like Dave Grohl who used to play drums for Scream and open up for the Cro-Mags, now he’s with the Flu Pfizers, the Flu Fighters, and it’s, like, ‘We’re playing vaccinated-only shows.’ What kind of bullshit is that? What kind of fucking bullshit are you fucking dealing with in your fucking head that you would play a vaccinated-only fucking show?”
