Times Of Grace (Killswitch Engage) have debuted a music video for their song “Mend You“. Former As I Lay Dying guitarist Nick Hipa directed the video, which you can see for yourself below.
Speaking of the track, the band’s frontman Jesse Leach commented:
“‘Mend You‘ is that moment when you realize what is broken can no longer be repaired. It’s about being at loss for words in a moment of helplessness. In the same breath the song finishes with a final determination to be steadfast and strong. It’s a story of burning a spiritual and emotional bridge and finding the path that leads to finding a new horizon. Then never turning back…”
Drummer Dan Glezak added:
“This is probably the most emotionally-charged song on the record for me. Adam sent me a mix and I felt the instrumental section in the bridge could use a sample. I remembered a voice note that I sent to someone, which was saved on my phone, and it fell perfectly in line with Jesse‘s lyrics. Initially, I was scared to use something so personal, but the guys liked it, so it stuck. It’s still really hard for me to hear this song but it’s one of my favorites.”
You can hear the song on the band’s newly released sophomore album “Songs Of Loss And Separation“.
