Preview Of Previously Unreleased Slash & Chester Bennington Track “Crazy” Surfaces Online

A preview of a previously unreleased Slash track titled “Crazy” featuring late Linkin Park, etc. frontman Chester Bennington is being prepared for a release. That song was originally penned by Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash for his 2010 eponymous solo album, though it never made the final cut.

Instead the track was re-recorded with late Motörhead vocalist/bassist Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister on vocals and bass and released as “Doctor Alibi“. Now the original version featuring Bennington said to be lined up for a release that will benefit 320 Changes Direction, a mental health awareness organization headed up by Bennington‘s widow, Talinda.

In 2018, Slash said to Variety of the track:

“When I was doing my first solo record, I worked with a lot of different people, some of whom, for whatever reason, didn’t end up on the record. One was with Chester. We did a song and Linkin Park at the time didn’t allow it to happen, so I did it with Lemmy. The guy who engineered my demos sent it to me and I sent it to Chester‘s family.”

This preview of the track emerged from Big Chris Flores, who originally worked on Slash‘s aforementioned solo album.
