Kvelertak have released a retro video game inspired by their latest album, “Splid“. That game has been dubbed ‘Split: Game Of Doom” and features 8-bit interpretations of various songs from the album. An EP of those revised tracks has also been released as “Splid: Game Of Doom EP“. It features the following track listing:
“Bråtebrann” (Game of Doom version)
“Crack Of Doom” (Game of Doom version)
“Discord” (Game of Doom version)
“Fanden ta dette hull!” (Game of Doom version)
According to an official press release, ‘[The game] takes fans and singer Ivar Nikolaisen on an epic quest through a retro-style maze where they are tasked with finding the other band members, as well as defeating the ghost of Tagholdt, who haunts a local museum and is a character from the song ‘Fanden ta dette hull!” The band themselves added, “Your favorite superheroes are finally back — in a game where you can swing a REAL axe!”
You can find the game on Apple and Android.
