Rammstein have begun auctioning off their various individual gold and platinum sales awards for charity via rammstein.charity. Guitarist Paul Landers‘ platinum plaque for the band’s 1995 debut album “Herzeleid” is the first item to be put on the block.
Rammstein commented of their plans:
“Rammstein are now auctioning carefully selected gold and platinum awards from the band for a good cause. Sorted by albums, the trophies will be released for auction in the coming months. Each time different organizations will benefit from the distribution of the donations.
It starts today with Paul‘s platinum award for the album ‘Herzeleid’ – one of the first awards in the band’s history.”
