Supergroup Dead Cross entered the studio back in December of 2019 to begin laying down the material for their sophomore album with producer Ross Robinson (Korn, Slipknot) once again behind the drums and given what happened a short few months afterwards, not much has been heard of it since.
In a new interview with The MetalSucks Podcast, drummer Dave Lombardo (Suicidal Tendencies/ex-Slayer, etc.) commented of the band’s progress with that album:
“The music is done. Music was wrapped up back in late December 2019, and obviously the pandemic broke and slowed everything down.
I think [Mike] Patton has a couple more tracks to wrap up and we should be done… hopefully late 2021 release? I know he had a lot of projects that he had to wrap up including Tomahawk and several others.
So you know, it’s there. It’s waiting.”
In addition to Lombardo, Dead Cross also feature Mike Patton of Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, etc. fame, Justin Pearson (The Locust, Retox) and Michael Crain (Retox).
