Former Cannibal Corpse Guitarist Pat O’Brien Sentenced For 2018 Burglary And Assault


Former Cannibal Corpse guitarist Pat O’Brien has officially been sentenced in connection with the bizarre string of events he was involved in back in 2018. On December 10th of that year, the house O’Brien was renting went up in flames and he was found to have broken into a neighboring house and refused to leave. Initial media reports found him to be extremely paranoid during the series of incidents, allegedly discussing “the rapture” while claiming someone was out to get him.

He was said to have later been detained by police via the use of a taser, after allegedly having lunched at a responding deputy while armed with a knife. His house was found to have over 80 firearms in it, 3 skulls and thousands of rounds of ammunition. ATF agents would were later called into to survey the remnants of his residence.

His actions that night found him charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and burglary of an occupied dwelling with assault as a result of the incident. On March 16th of this year, O’Brien was sentenced to time served and five years probation.

He has been ordered to pay $23,793.45 in restitution. He has also been ordered to drug and alcohol evaluations, random drug screening and is to stay away from alcohol and controlled substances. He will also be forced to serve 150 hours community service.

O’Brien has since been replaced in the band by Erik Rutan of Hate Eternal, etc. fame.
