The auction closed on the first-ever NFT from Megadeth tonight, April 11th. That item was titled ‘Vic Rattlehead: Genesis‘ and it can be previewed below. Ultimately the six-second animated clip went for 8.4 ETH, which as of press time equates to $18,160.97 USD. According to Megadeth‘s listing itself, 20% of the money from that auction will go towards the NFTs creator.
Earlier this month Slipknot percussionist M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan also recently sold his first-ever NFT as well. His animated clip ‘The Electric Theater 001‘ (see below) wound up selling for 6.429973513 ETH, which as of press time equates to $13,914.33 USD.
Elsewhere, Asking Alexandria frontman Danny Worsnop also tried his hand at NFTs last month alongside the release of his first independent solo single, “Love You More“. As of press time though it would appear there was no takers on his offerings as of yet.
