Rammstein Recorded A New Album During Quarantine


It may have taken a decade for Rammstein to follow-up their 2009 album “Liebe ist für alle da” with 2019’s untitled release, but the wait for band’s next batch of new material will seemingly be far shorter. Last fall the band revealed they were in the studio, laying down material at Studios La Fabrique in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France.

In a recent interview with, the band’s keyboardist, etc. Christian “Flake” Lorenz confirmed that a new record was tracked during the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown, offering:

“The fact that we couldn’t perform live increased our creativity. We had more time to think of new things and less distraction. As a result, we recorded a record that we hadn’t planned on.”

Further details on the record have yet to be announced. The band originally had planned to do some extensive high-production touring last year until COVID-19 concerns forced them to reschedule. The North American leg of that trek has since been rescheduled for this summer.
