Dino Cazares Of Fear Factory

Fear Factory’s Dino Cazares Found A Bullet In His Car’s Windshield

Fear Factory, etc. guitarist Dino Cazares found an unwelcome surprise in the windshield of his car earlier today (January 21st). According to Cazares, a bullet had been discharged into it and the Los Angeles Police Department were called to investigate the matter. He shared the below image of the windshield and the bullet itself. Cazares commented:

It is unclear whether or not Cazares was in the vehicle at the time, though given the nature of his tweet, it is presumed that he was not and discovered it lodged there some time after it was fired. Cazares also spoke of the matter later to fans, offering:

For those unaware, Cazares emerged with 100% control of the Fear Factory trademarks last year following the resolution of lengthy legal proceedings separately filed against himself and the band’s now former frontman Burton C. Bell. Ex-Fear Factory members Raymond Herrera and Christian Olde Wolbers were the plaintiffs in those suits.

Bell himself would go on to exit the group last year in the weeks after that legal resolution, apparently taking issue with his lack of a share in the band as well as a crowdfunding campaign Cazares launched to update some of the instrumental parts of the band’s already completed new album.

That album was recorded several years back and is expected to finally see a release in the next few months with the legal hurdles having now been removed. It is presumed to be the band’s last to feature vocals from Bell, with Cazares having stated his intentions to eventually continue the band with a replacement vocalist.
