Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor Once Again Reflects On The Impact David Bowie Had On Him

David Bowie played a pivotal role in the life of Nine Inch Nails mastermind Trent Reznor, not only inspiring him musically, but also helping him on the path to sobriety. In the weeks following Bowie‘s 2016 death to liver cancer, Reznor penned this tribute to his fallen mentor. Now ahead of Bowie‘s January 08th birthday and the anniversary of his January 10th passing, Reznor has once again reflected on the impact Bowie had on him.

Reznor‘s newly published thoughts on Bowie can be found over at Consequence Of Sound. An excerpt from them reads as follows:

“…I still think about that dude all the time, and I still listen to him constantly. And I’m grateful that our lives intersected, and I’m grateful for, whether he knew it or not, how much he helped me in those dark times before I chose to get my shit together. And I can hear his voice. He penetrated through the layers of bullshit that I’d built around myself. I’m grateful for that.”

As previously reported, Reznor, his wife Mariqueen and his Nine Inch Nails bandmate Atticus Ross will be covering Bowie during this Friday’s (January 08th) upcoming virtual concert, ‘A Bowie Celebration: Just For One Day!‘, tickets for that event are available at
