Grey Daze To Release Acoustic EP “Amends… Stripped” Release New Version Of “Shouting Out”

Grey Daze, the outfit who notably featured Chester Bennington on vocals prior to him finding fame in Linkin Park, will be releasing a new EP on January 29th via Loma Vista Recordings. Bennington had rejoined the band prior to his 2017 death and with his family’s blessing, that outfit went on to rework their material together around Bennington‘s original vocal tracks, releasing it earlier this year as “Amends“.

This new EP, “Amends… Stripped“, will find them once again using Bennington‘s vocals, with the band reenvisioning select songs in an acoustic format around alternate takes and more. To that end they hit the studio this past October with producer Billy Bush (Garbage, Muse).

Drummer Sean Dowdell commented:

“One of the more interesting things about working with such a great singer like Chester, is the more you take away from his surroundings, the more you get to appreciate and hear all of the subtle nuances of his voice. He was a very special vocalist with an amazing writing ability, and it was very meaningful for us to use these different vocal performances on the acoustic version of ‘Shouting Out‘.”

Amends… Stripped” will feature the following track listing:

01 – “Shouting Out” (stripped)
02 – “Sometimes” (stripped)
03 – “Soul Song” (stripped)
04 – “What’s In The Eye” (stripped)
05 – “The Syndrome” (stripped)
