Devin Townsend has spoken a bit further at his ambitious plans for his next release, “The Puzzle“—although admittedly that title may not be the final incarnation. Originally planned for a release several weeks ago, Townsend has since ramped up his vision for the project and commented about it overnight on social media. Amid his tweets he compared the project to his 2004 ambient album “Devlab“, here’s what he had to say:
Puzzle is kind of like an elaborate and much more chilled out Devlab.

It will have an accompanying film and graphic novel, its wonderful and just basically a bunch of interesting, transient, floaty wank. =)

…Does anyone know a good graphic novelist?

Anyways…theres my description of it. Album number ??? and im just as into this as any of the others, but its in the way of actual 'songs' it seems, so it needs a purge. Plus it wants crazy abstract art and a film, so… yeah. Thats what it'll be.
