Trapt had been planning to play a show at Trees in Dallas, TX on November 21st, but that date has since been cancelled shortly after going on sale. The aforementioned venue issued the following statement:
“Due to reasons beyond our knowledge, the Trapt show has been canceled. All tickets will be refunded to the point of purchase. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

Trapt frontman Chris Taylor Brown vented on social media on the matter earlier today (October 29th), claiming the cancelation emerged as a result of threats being made to employees of the venue by ‘social justice warriors’. Presumably these alleged threats would have been made in regards to the antagonistically right-wing political beliefs often expressed by Brown via Twitter. Brown commented:
So @trees in Dallas caved to threats to employees by a few of the under 100 social justice warriors who bitched about trapt in Dallas & who are also absolute sheep brainwashed by mainstream media. What a shame. Next Dallas show for Dallas Proud Boys & LE! POYB! See you SJWs there https://t.co/a44Px6LSVX

Brown has also been having some lively conversation on Twitter over the matter, threatening lawsuits and more. You can dig into that here. He also went on to call the staff of the venue “cowards” and drew some heat from Born Of Osiris for clapping back at the spouse of one the band’s members.
I think the venue are cowards and the people making threats toward the venue employees are pieces of shit

It’s clear that during quarantine you’ve been able to hide and have zero consequences for the terrible things you say. I’d love to be the one to show you what real consequences look like. Too bad your Dallas show got cancelled, it could have been a date! https://t.co/zEb2axfS7z
