Fear Factory Share Tease Of New Music

Fear Factory have shared a tease of new music from their forthcoming album that is tentatively due out in March. The below clip arrives in celebration of the band having achieved their $25,000 crowdfunding goal for that new record, which will mark their last with frontman Burton C. Bell, who recently exited the group. His replacement in the group has yet to be announced/decided upon.

Fear Factory had previously completed recording this new album several years ago but were forced to shelve it amid a lengthy legal battle over the band’s trademarks between their current and former members. Those legalities were eventually resolved with guitarist Dino Cazares receiving 100% control of the Fear Factory trademarks.

With the lawsuits out of the way, Cazares decided to go back and re-track some parts, among other things, while also enlisting Mike Heller to lay down live percussion on the record to replace the previously programmed drum tracks. According to Cazares, the funds raised via crowdfunding will go towards the costs associated with that and the subsequent new mixing and mastering job.

Speaking of hitting the crowdfunding goal, Cazares stated:

“A message to all the fans who contributed to the GoFundMe Campaign.

You did it! We called and you delivered! You helped us reach our goal in just a mere few weeks and now, we can deliver the album that Fear Factory fans have come to expect and all truly deserve! The album is almost done being mixed + mastered and is sounding absolutely KILLER!

We cannot thank you all, each and every single one of you enough for stepping up and helping be part of making this happen.

Enjoy this new unmixed/unmastered song teaser studio update.”
