Job For A Cowboy would have already been in the studio with producer Jason Suecof (Trivium, All That Remains) if COVID-19 restrictions had not foiled their plans. Now the band intend to enter the studio in October/November to record their new album with Jason Suecof for a presumed 2021 release date.
According to frontman Jonny Davy, the drums have already been tracked for the outing with more word (including who tracked them) expected later this week. Speaking to MetalSucks of their absence, Davy revealed that Serpent Of Gnosis, which reunited Davy with his Job For A Cowboy bandmates Tony Sannicandro and Alan Glassman, was the impetus for Job For A Cowboy‘s proper return.
He said of that band’s 2019 debut album, “As I Drink From The Infinite Well Of Inebriation“: “We talked about [JFAC] here and there [before that] but I think once we got in the groove again [with Serpent], we got excited about doing another [JFAC] record.”
