The literal interpretation of Deftones‘ ninth studio album “Ohms” refers to units of electrical resistance as per George Ohm‘s law of electric currents. For the band’s frontman Chino Moreno, the title choice was a bit more ambiguous. He recently told Kerrang! of what the title means to him:
“It’s that balance and polarity of things. I’ve always described our band as having that yin and yang. As people, the music we make, and the lyrics that I write, there’s always this juxtaposition and that’s the beauty of what we’ve created.”
Last night the band debuted this music video for the title track to the album, which will be out September 25th. Pre-orders for the Terry Date (Pantera, Soundgarden) produced record have also been launched and are available here.
