Mike Shinoda will be releasing the second volume of his ‘Dropped Frames‘ series of releases this week. Presumably out this Friday, July 31st, Shinoda slyly revealed the news via a series of folders on a recent Twitch livestream (see below). Shinoda created the music for the releases while streaming on Twitch during the COVID-19 pandemic, with the first volume having arrived on July 10th.
At that time Shinoda told Forbes.com of his plans for the series:
“These albums, ‘Dropped Frames‘ is gonna be the first of at least three. I’ve got the second one done and the third one is in progress. And I say in progress, basically it’s just tightening up and mixing stuff that I made on the stream. But certainly it’s a thing I wouldn’t have done unless I was in this situation that I’m in right now.
News: @mikeshinoda has leaked to fans, via rearranging his desktop folders on Twitch today, that “#DroppedFrames, Vol. 2” will be released this week!
Now that’s a unique way to announce a release! Sneaky, Mike. ?? pic.twitter.com/X7bCoQiA1G
