Ascension Of The Watchers (Fear Factory) To Release “Apocrypha” In October

Fear Factory frontman Burton C. Bell‘s Ascension Of The Watchers will have their sophomore album “Apocrypha” in stores on October 09th via Dissonance Productions. The album was recorded at Northstone Studios in South Wales with the band’s own Jayce Lewis handling the production and mixing duties.

According to a press release, the outing features a supernatural guest appearance from an alleged ethereal resident of the 250-year-old manor the studio is housed on. A press release stated:

Northstone Studios, based in the countryside of South Wales, connected to the 250 year old Court Colman Manor, the studio built by Lewis’ own hands using the ancient stones of the monastery that once stood there, the rustic detail proved a perfect setting for AoTW’s very own Jayce Lewis to record, produce and mix the Apocrypha album.

A recording process that literally stirred the souls that remain within the stone walls of LewisNorthstone Studios. During the vocal recordings of the title track, a recording was inadvertently captured from the aether; an eerie, unrecognizable and untranslatable, syllabic phrase whispered within the vocal booth. The event is now the intro to the title track, Apocrypha.’

The album is set to arrive a bit later than expected, having lost the money raised for the creation of it via their successfully funded album campaign when PledgeMusic went under. In addition to Bell and Lewis, John Bechdel remains a member of the outfit.
