Fans Have Crowned A Winner For Metallica’s Best Song


Over the past few weeks Metallica have been hosting their ‘Some Kind Of Bracket’ in a bid to determine which of their songs was the definitive fan favorite. The band seeded the brackets with song play data taken from their Spotify, multiplying it by how many times they’ve played the song live. As you can see below, there was some stiff competition in the opening week:

In the end however, the gold certified title track to the band’s 6x multi-platinum 1986 album “Master Of Puppets” won out, edging out the gold certified “One” from their 1988 8x multi-platinum follow-up “…And Justice For All“. The band commented:

In celebration of the win, the band pointed to the below 1989 live performance in Seattle, WA of the track, which can be found on the deluxe box set of “…And Justice For All“.
