Premonitions Of War Guitarist Michael Gaytan Arrested With Nearly $2 Million Hidden In His Truck


Premonitions Of War guitarist/co-founder Michael Gaytan was arrested yesterday, Wednesday, June 10th. He was initially pulled over on a traffic stop for failing to signal a lane change while in the county of Seward, NE. The responding sheriff, Mike Vance noted Gaytan‘s suspicious behavior and searched his vehicle with the assistance of a K-9 unit.

According to the police report as per KETV, authorities located $1.9 million dollars in U.S. currency in duffle bags hidden within the rear of the vehicle. Gaytan was subsequently arrested and charged with felony transportation and possession of illegal currency used to facilitate the purchase of illegal narcotics and money laundering. The Department Of Homeland Security are also said to be preparing federal charges against the 42-year-old Gaytan, who resides in Toledo, OH.

Gaytan previously had a publicized run-in with the law back in 2014. Meanwhile, last fall former Premonitions Of War drummer Dustin Schoenhofer (also of Walls Of Jericho) was arrested with over 630 pounds of marijuana and more in his possession.

Premonitions Of War notably released several albums in the early 2000s on Victory Records, Goodfellow Records and more.
