Gojira will be streaming their previously unreleased May 11th, 2017 live performance at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO this coming Wednesday, May 20th, at 1pm PDT / 4pm EDT. The broadcast will originate via the band’s official website gojira-music.com for 24 hours only.

Both Opeth and Gojira had their shows at the aforementioned venue professionally filmed that night with Opeth‘s later arriving as “Garden Of The Titans: Live At Red Rocks Amphitheater“. Gojira will also be launching some limited edition merch items during the stream. A trailer for the stream can be found below.

Meanwhile, the band have been finishing up work on their new seventh studio album as of late. Speaking on the decision to stream the show now and the unfortunate ‘disintegration of their summer tours’, which included a planned North American tour with Deftones and Poppy, the band commented:

An official statement regarding the fate of the aforementioned summer tour with Deftones and Poppy has yet to be made.

“We are excited to finally share our Live at Red Rocks. Captured 3 years ago, May 11th 2017, on our US tour with Opeth and Devin Townsend Project . An incredible memory for us in a breathtaking landscape. We kept this baby under our belt this whole time waiting for a special moment to release it.

Fun fact, this was Gojira’s 1,000th show.

After witnessing the disintegration of our Summer Tours 2020, we thought it was a good moment to give a little something away before getting back on track.

We are currently working to re-schedule a tour to take place next year.

We are not yet in a position to confirm shows but hope to have more news for you in the coming weeks.”
