Grey Daze Share “Soul Song” Video Directed By Chester Bennington’s Son Jaime

Grey Daze, the pre-Linkin Park band of vocalist Chester Bennington, have debuted a new video for their track “Soul Song“. Chester‘s son Jaime directed the video and also guests on the track. He commented:

“This music video is about my spiritual connection to the other side and my literal experiences with the elusive and, at times, incomprehensible presence of my father after death. ‘Soul Song‘ is about the many ways in which we come to enlightenment, into knowledge, and the many ways we fall away from it. This is my personal experience with that.”

Grey Daze drummer Sean Dowdell offered:

“Having Jaime involved in the recording of ‘Soul Song‘ meant so much to all of us. It was one of those full circle moments where we remembered meeting Chester at an even younger age than Jaime, and to now be recording with his son… it was a highlight of recording ‘Amends‘. Jamie is a burgeoning filmmaker so when he offered to do this video, well, we couldn’t think of a better way to present this song.”

Chester had agreed to reunite with Grey Daze prior to his death in 2017. Utilizing his original vocal tracks, the band decided to go back and revisit their past material, enlisting the help of family and friends to update them to better convey their vision.

They will release that effort, “Amends“, on June 26th. Korn‘s Brian “Head” Welch & James “Munky” Shaffer also guest on the record, as does Helmet‘s Page Hamilton and more.
