Opeth frontman/guitarist Mikael Åkerfeldt has signed on to score the upcoming Netflix series ‘Clark‘. The six-part series is an adaptation of the autobiography of Swedish career criminal Clark Olofsson, a ‘pop-gangster’ who was involved in the the infamous robbery that gave way to ‘Stockholm syndrome’.
Bill Skarsgård (‘It‘, ‘Castle Rock‘) takes on the titular role with the show being helmed by former black metal musician turned director Jonas Åkerlund (‘Lords Of Chaos‘, ‘Polar‘). The series will mark Åkerfeldt first foray into scoring with an premiere date yet to be set.
