Megadeth In The Studio For New Album

The road to Megadeth‘s 16th studio album has been a rocky one. Originally the band had intended to work on it last year, but frontman/guitarist Dave Mustaine‘s successful cancer battle forced them to put aside their plans.

This year they had planned to enter the studio in March to officially begin recording the outing, but then the COVID-19 pandemic hit. While social distancing and public gathering restrictions put a damper on their studio plans, it would seem that work continues on the album independently. Earlier today, May 06th, the band’s social media shared the following post of frontman Dave Mustaine laying down vocals for the effort:

Bassist David Ellefson commented back in April that the album was already written and “ready to be recorded”, so it would seem that they might have begun moving ahead with the sessions for it. Then again, they could possibly be demoing or working on further songs as well.
