Devin Townsend Gets Heavy On New Track With Former Members Of The Dillinger Escape Plan & The Faceless

Devin Townsend has shared one of his heavier demo ideas as part of his ongoing ‘Quarantine Project’. This new track, “Heavy Factions“, finds Townsend joined by some of the planned roster for his heavier live shows, including guitarist Wes Hauch (ex-The Faceless/Black Crown Initiate) and bassist Liam Wilson (Azusa, ex-The Dillinger Escape Plan). Townsend himself said of it:

“Heres a heavier demo idea. I recorded the drums with Samus [Paulicelli, Decrepit Birth] during the ‘Empath‘ sessions. Liam [Wilson] plays bass and Wes [Hauch] does a ripping solo. Its all about balance I guess, sometimes chill, sometimes frantic. This would be ‘frantic’ =)

I hope you have a good weekend. Please take care of yourself and your loved ones. Dont let the stress get you down, try to write some music or make some art maybe this weekend?

…or cookies? They’re good too…

Townsend‘s ‘Quarantine Project’ is his way of giving back to fans who donated money to him via this GoFundMe to help him recoup from the losses incurred by having to postpone his spring touring amid Coronavirus concerns.
