Foo Fighters Announce Spring 25th Anniversary Tour (Updated)

The Foo Fighters have since added a May 16th Detroit, MI show at Little Caesars Arena to their schedule. Tickets are on sale now.

The Foo Fighters have announced the dates for a 25th anniversary tour that will commence this spring, hitting cities the group previously hit back on the road in 1995. Artist pre-sales and Citi cardholders can get their tickets to the trek starting today at 12pm ET. As for the dates, they run as follows:

04/12 Phoenix, AZ – Talking Stick Resort Arena (tickets)
04/14 Albuquerque, NM – Santa Ana Star Center (tickets)
04/16 Oklahoma City, OK – Chesapeake Energy Arena (tickets)
04/18 Wichita, KS – Intrust Bank Arena (tickets)
04/20 Knoxville, TN – Thompson-Boling Arena (tickets)
05/10 Green Bay, WI – Resch Center (tickets)
05/12 Grand Rapids, MI – Van Andel Arena (tickets)
05/14 Cincinnati, OJ – Heritage Bank Center (tickets)

Those who attend the tour will also be treated to a sneak peek at the touring documentary Foo Fighters vocalist/guitarist Dave Grohl has been working on as of late dubbed ‘What Drives Us‘. Grohl recently discussed that project on the Bill Simmons Podcast, stating:

“I’ve interviewed everybody… The Beatles toured in a van, Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, U2, everybody has had a van. There’s something about that time, you wear it like a badge. The movie isn’t so much about really awesome van tour anecdotes, it’s more about the drive to do it.”

“Why would anyone give up everything, quit their job, leave everything behind, just to chase this dream with no guarantee you’re ever going to make it? And you starve, you bleed, you’re sick, you’re pissed, you get taken to jail and in fights, but you always make it to the next gig. Everyone has the same story, and it’s absolutely the key to success.”
